The Waterhead Hotel's bar and café, The Bay Café, occupies a prime position on the shores of Lake Windermere.

However, after disembarking from the popular lake steamers, tourists were bypassing the hotel's café and competitors were gaining ground.

Strategy: We concluded that from the outside the café lacked the necessary visual appeal and that a welcoming, eye-catching identity and outdoor environment, which would work in harmony with the hotel's style and location, needed to be developed in order to increase footfall.

Results: We created a new identity for the café, which was then rolled out into signage, literature and menus. Footfall increased dramatically in the months following implementation, and continues to grow.
